Privacy Policy
Last updated: not yet published
This policy explains what happens to the information you send through the enquiry form on this site. Scottish Chemistry Tutor is the data controller for that information.
Who I am
Scottish Chemistry Tutor is a sole-trader online tutoring service run by Lisa McCulloch.
Note to client
[TODO client: trading address, or the county/region you're willing to publish. A controller has to be identifiable.]
You can reach me at lisa@scottishchemistrytutor.co.uk.
What I collect
- Your name
- Your email address
- The pupil's level
- The type of support wanted
- When you'd like to start
- Preferred lesson times
- Anything you choose to write in the free-text boxes
Those free-text boxes may include information about a child, for example their confidence, their learning needs or their previous exam results. Please share only what you think is useful for me to know.
I do not collect payment details through this website.
Why I collect it, and my lawful basis
I will not add you to a mailing list or send marketing.
How long it is kept
Note to client
[TODO client: how long do you keep enquiries that don't become lessons, and how long do you keep records for pupils you do teach? A common answer is 12 months for unsuccessful enquiries, and for the duration of tutoring plus a set period afterwards.]
Information about children
Enquiries are normally made by a parent or guardian. If you are under 18 and enquiring for yourself, please ask a parent or guardian to do it with you.
Information about a pupil is used only to prepare for and deliver their lessons.
Your rights
- A copy of the information I hold about you
- Correction of it
- Deletion of it
- Restriction of what I do with it
- Objection to my using it
- It in a portable format
Because I rely on your consent, you can withdraw that consent at any time. That won't affect anything done before you withdrew it.
Note to client
[TODO client: confirm the route for these requests; lisa@scottishchemistrytutor.co.uk is assumed.]
Complaints
If you think I've handled your information badly, please tell me first and I'll try to put it right.
You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office, the UK's data protection regulator, at ico.org.uk.
